The annular eclipse will occur October 14, 2023 and the full eclipse will occur April 8, 2024. I decided to get ready by purchasing a Unistellar telescope https://www.unistellar.com/equinox2/. I have built my own astrophotography set up, but it is not quick to set up. I saw a equinox2 and was impressed by its simplicity. I bought one and tried it out last night. It was very easy to set up. I did not optimize its settings but still got decent pictures out of the box (see the ring nebula below). This will be a great telescope, once my solar filter comes in, to take to Colorado for the annular eclipse and to the Missouri bootheal for the full eclipse.

After returning from Spokane, the installation of the solar system was started. There are 20 panels on the south side below and 14 on the west side above. The city has to install a net metering meter and inspect the installation. That will occur next week.
